The human body's composition

Six elements make up more than 98% of human bodies: oxygen, carbon and hydrogen, nitrogen, calcium and phosphorus. Another 1% is made up of potassium, sulfur, sodium, and chlorine. These 11 elements are known as non-traceable.
Concerning molecules, water is the most prevalent molecule in the human body, accounting for about 65% of its mass. Proteins and lipids are next. Hydroxyapatite and carbohydrates are also a good percent of the mass.

What is body fat?

It is actually called adipose tissues. It stores energy in the form lipids and cushions your body. There are two types of fat your body stores: essential and stored body fat. The first is essential to support life and reproductive function. Women have a higher essential body fat due to childbearing and hormonal function. The accumulation of fat in the body is called storage fat. This does not necessarily mean that you should not have body fat. However, some of it can protect your internal organs and abdomen.

What is my average body fat?

After you have calculated your body fat percentage, it is time to compare it with the recommended values. This list is from the American Council on Exercise. It shows the average percentages for certain groups.
Essential fat: 10-13% (women), 2-5% (men)
Athletes: 14-20% (women), 6-13% (men)
Fitness: 21-24% (women), 14-17% (men)
Average: 25-31% (women), 18-24% (men)
Obese: 32%+ (women), 25%+ (men)
This means that your body fat percentage should be below 31% for women and 24% in men. You may be more at risk if your body fat is higher than 31% for women and 24% for men.

Why is it important to control my body fat

To regulate hormone production, you need to have somebody fat. However, an excessive amount of body fat can lead to multiple health problems such as:
Heart disease: Obesity and high body fat can cause high blood pressure and bad cholesterol. These are risk factors for heart disease. They can also lead to strokes in extreme cases.
Problems with male hormones: High body fat can cause excessive production of male hormones in women, leading to facial hair growth and even acne.
Type 2 diabetes: High body fat can cause type 2 diabetes. Diabetes and obesity are strongly linked. People who are overweight and have high body Mass Index (BMI), as well as high body fat percentages, are at the greatest risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
Pregnancy complications: Women who have high levels of body fat are more likely than others to give birth early or have children with serious health issues, such as obesity. They are also more likely to need to have a Cesarean birth.

Is fat so bad?

All of this may lead you to believe that fat is bad, and that it would be better to not have any. Is that true? Let me show you some examples.
Andreas Munzer, a professional Austrian bodybuilder, was his name. He used many ergogenic acids and steroids in his training. His low body fat was a hallmark of his character. His drug use led to complications. He developed upper gastrointestinal tract bleeding. This caused him to die.
Bodybuilders are not the only ones who gain body fat. Lizzie Velasquez, a well-known American motivational speaker, and YouTuber are Lizzie Velasquez. She suffers from an extremely rare congenital disease called Marfanoid-progeroid-lipodystrophy syndrome. It prevents the body from gaining weight and fat tissue, which is why such patients have zero percent body fat. She is restricted to eating approximately 8000 calories per day and has never weighed in excess of 29kg.
You can see that fat isn't all bad. Excess fat is worse!
